In support of International Yoga Day we ran over 500 free yoga classes throughout the UK

Patanjali Yog Peeth UK Trust (PYPT) hosted the third Anniversary of International Day of Yoga, throughout UK over 500 free yoga classes were organised, thousands of people attended.

Better health is something we are all striving for, especially in a world where it can be difficult to achieve a work/life balance. We often concentrate on our physical well-being and not always on one s inner well-being.

Swami RamdevJi has pioneered a simple approach to practicing yoga and has strived to improve the quality of life for everyone through his revolutionary breathing techniques known as Pranayam .His passion and dedication are the driving force in promoting good health. His methods are very simple and suitable for all ages and abilities.

Based on a series of pranayam (systematic breathing techniques) combined with yoga asana postures; it is suitable for all ages and abilities. Yoga goes beyond being a set of physical exercises. In fact physical fitness is a by-product of Yoga. Yoga teaches us how to lead a balanced life. It is the key to a balances mind, health body, and noble thoughts and connects us to our inner self. If practiced regularly and efficiently key benefits can include: reduced stress levels, improved circulation, healthier joints, enhanced strength, agility and body tone, weight regulation, boosted immune and digestive system, enhanced energy, concentration and flexibility.

The purpose of these events is to create awareness and promote health, prosperity and peace. It further supports UK s drive to become a healthier nation and will unify communities across the country and build the bridges between our generations. Patanjali Yog Peeth (UK) Trust currently run over 350 weekly Yoga classes throughout the UK.
